Outside the Lines

Art, pattern, and colour for distinctive spaces, delivered to your inbox monthly.

Created by a former south african interior designer turned abstract artist.

Before becoming an abstract artist, I spent 30 years working in interiors. That experience still shapes how I create.

I think about art in relation to the room around it: the scale, colour, materials, and the feeling it brings into a space. A painting may remain an original canvas, become a large-format print or develop into a pattern for fabric and wallpaper.

Outside the Lines gives me a direct way to share that process with the people who understand how much the right artwork or pattern can change a room.

For spaces that colour outside the lines

This newsletter is for designers and architects sourcing work that feels distinctive without becoming difficult to use. My work is bold, playful, and shaped by life in the South African bushveld.
